Wag! swag: Why I'll forever support this dog-walking company
Video: Watch Junee's consistent reaction to any package delivery
You know that person who you buy a gift for and they ALWAYS react well for the camera? Yeah, that's me. In this case though, this is my genuine response to getting pet supplies from a company I wholeheartedly respect.
When I first bought my condo after several months of looking and two cancellations before closing, I was really disappointed that my third option didn't allow dogs. I'd already owned two dogs, and it felt weird to buy a permanent home and never have a dog again.
Dog boarding was out of the question, but dog sitting and dog walking seemed like my only alternative. After applying (and getting accepted into) Wag, I was ecstatic to walk anybody's dog.
That led to TWO YEARS, 500 total walks, 84 dogs and a 4.98% score. If not for COVID-19 and clientele drying up, I'd probably still be walking dogs. On Juneteenth 2021, I adopted a Hound mix (Junee), but I still will forever appreciate Wag! even when I was down to one dog customer during social isolation. A year later and a (temporarily retired) dog walker, I still walk around with Wag! shirts while walking my own dog.
This pet care company will forever be dope to me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for offering dog lovers this opportunity. And if you think I’m appreciative, look at my dog’s reaction to any package—especially if she thinks she’s getting something from it.
